Second attempt at imagining how Bane will appear in The Dark Knight Rises. I find Bane a much more interesting choice than Catwoman/Selina Kyle, as he doesn't obviously fit into the Nolanverse. Also he is not 'Year one'; Batman was already on his third Robin when he arrived.
Christopher Nolan does love a nice sharp suit, it would seem, so it's likely Bane will be quite well dressed for the most part. His red shades symbolise his mask when he's not wearing it, as well as suggesting he's 'seeing red', referencing his rage beneath the surface. Also since Bane is intellectually Batman's equal (at least), the glasses maybe make him look more studious.
I stuck with the classic Bane colour scheme, and the red shirt is meant to give the look of Bane in 'The Batman' And I drew Bane/Hardy's face in a Tim Sale style, since thats how Hardy look to me
Good choice, physically perfect, but Nolan has a liking for quality actors, and I'm not sure Dave could cut it with the big guns of Bale, Hathaway and Oldman :
true but on the flip side we know bane can have no dialogue we've seen this in (god help me for mentioning this abomination to batman films everywhere)the batman with Arnold in it.
Thank you, this seems like the most Nolan-esque look, I think I read that he'll be part of Ra's League of Shadows from Begins, so if this is true, his action outfit will likely be some kind of ninja-like thing. Anyway, thanks again.
this would work very well I reckon. Bane does seem like an odd choice for the movie given he's often depicted as insanely huge when on venom. I'm looking forward to Nolan's take on him and Catwoman.
I honestly think Bane will be the dominant villain, with Selina Kyle/Catwoman a distant second. I don't see Nolan's Bane raging and huge on venom, so it will be interesting to see how he is portrayed
i'm hoping a lot of the more intellectual side of Bane will show through which a lot of the comic writers (and the makers of the crud Batman & Robin film) either forget or just choose to ignore cos he's a big strong man. The guy is not an idiot and I reckon Nolan sees something he can use in Bane or he wouldn't have chosen him. Noticed his Batman movies tend to have one outright bad guy (Scarecrow, Joker) and one who's good or bad at different moments (Ra's Al Ghul even though he was the big villain of the whole movie, Two-Face) and this looks to be the same with Bane as the pure bad and Catwoman as the not sure.
I read that he'll be part of Ra's League of Shadows from Begins, so if this is true, his action outfit will likely be some kind of ninja-like thing.
Anyway, thanks again.
