Off with her head!

Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen in Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland movie. When did she stop being the Queen of Hearts?

Anyway, after drawing the Hatter, this seemed like the next thing to do. I had no idea how complex her dress was; check out the full view to see way too much attention to detail on this one.

I'm reasonably pleased with this, but it was an epic task.

I love this so much! The Red Queen and the Knave of Hearts where one of my only favorite things in that movie. I feel Tim kinda screwed it up a little bit :/

BUT her design is amazing and it looks even more amazing in your style!! I love how you did her dress and face! The coloring is epic too! What program do you use to color/draw?

Yeah, the movie was a missed opportunity, but The Red Queen really saved it, I think. Helena Bonham Carter really gave it 100% XD
Like most stuff I post here, this started as a drawing on paper, then coloured in photoshop.
Anyway thanks again for the considered comment, and the favs are appreciated too

Thank you, and yes, so did I, but apparently this is not the same Queen of Hearts from the first Alice book. I haven't read either in a while, so we'll all have to wait and see
